Johnny G’s 2014 Fantasy Golf Picks Week 5 Sanderson Farms Championship

Well, after another strong week, with all 4 players finishing on Sunday, Johnny G is hoping to get on the victory board this year. With only a few tournaments left on this year’s early schedule, we need to get some top 3 fantasy picks (at least)  in order to gain on the leader.

Last Week’s Recap

Gary Woodland almost pulled out the victory for Johnny G, but we will take a top 2 finish any day of the week.  Matsuyama posted a nice finish too. Combined the picks from last week got over 300 FedEx Cup points. Not bad picking if you ask me.  Let’s keep the good fantasy golf picks rolling this week. Here they are:

Week 5 Sanderson Farms Championship Fantasy Golf Expert Picks

1. Andrew Svoboda – This guy is playing well, and with the big names playing over at the HSBC, this is his time to shine. A solid ball striker, he will be in contention this week at Sanderson Farms.

2. Nicholas Thompson – You may know him better if you saw his sister, Lexi, but the older sibling can hold his own too. Again, this guy is close to breaking through, he just needs a few more putts to fall.

3. David Toms – I will take this veteran any day of the week.  A former major winner, Toms looks to get back on form. There is also talk of him as a Ryder Cup captain, so he will try to stay sharp over the next few years.

4. Martin Laird – He is steady, he is strong, but why hasn’t he won in so long?   Yeah, maybe this week. At least he is good for a top 20.

Hope these golf picks work good for you. I am trying to win you some fantasy golf weeks with my expert picks. Hit em straight boys!

Don’t forget there is a WGC event this week, which also gives FedEx Cup points.

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
