Now onto tonight’s DraftKings MLB Fantasy tip of the day: 05/17/17

1. Joey Votto – There’s a lot of competition for your 1st basemen salary dollars.  Votto will get a very long look today.  He’s been consistent all season and currently has an 8-game hit streak.  Plus, he crushes Kyle Hendricks to the tune of 7 for 11, 2 HRs and 6 walks.  Think about pairing Duvall with him (4 for 8 vs. Hendricks with a HR) for a good 2-man stack or part of a larger Reds stack.

2. There’s no shortage of 3B candidates worthy of a spot in your lineups either, but if you need to get creative, take a look at Moose, Mike Moustakas, today.  Pineda likely gets some love, so this has a contrarian tint.  Moose is 6 for 13 against Pineda, but 5 of those hits went for extra bases (2 doubles, a triple, 2 HRs).  He’s hit safely in the first 3 games of the homestand.  Another 2-man stack suggestion would be adding Sal Perez (8 for 20, HR vs. Pineda).

3. If you are playing the early slate, you have a great pitcher’s duel in Kershaw vs Cueto. Remember though, in the daytime the ball flies very WELL out of the Bay Area parks.  So it is not a sure thing…
