Johnny G’s MLB DraftKings & FanDuel Home Run Predictions 7-6-17

There are 12 games on the schedule for Thursday, July 6.  Five of the games will start before 7:00 pm EST, so we should have a good mix of early and main slates to play.  The night-cap may be the most interesting of all as Robbie Ray duels Rich Hill at Dodger Stadium.

Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups.  From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball.  The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.

If you need more than a four-bagger to get your bankroll growing, Hammer DFS has a full-service chat to get you back on track.  Check out a sample of what their members pulled in recently:

Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 7/6/17:

Garret: Brew crew is heading to meet the North siders tomorrow.  As a life long Cubs fan, I would love to tell you Kris Bryant is my prediction, but he is not.  He has great stats against that 13-year-old kid the brewers are pitching, Zach Davies.  Bryant is 8 for 17 with a double, a triple, and a homer!  He probably will hit a dong actually, but the brewers have PUNISHED the Cubs the past couple of years.  Trust me, It’s embarrassing.  So I’m picking Ryan Braun.  Braun is batting .269 with 2 dongs since his return. The guy is crushing the ball at a 47% hard contact rate this year.  Braun (and Bryant) goes deep at Wrigley tomorrow.

Alex: Justin Upton is 6-20 vs Cueto with 2 HRs.  Upton has been crushing RHP in the last month posting a .397 wOBA and a .276 ISO with 5 HRs.  Cueto has given up 7 HRs in his last 5 starts, 4 of which came against righties.

Chris: There’s some kid named Sal Romano starting for Cincinnati tomorrow.  He was just called up from the minors where he was sporting a 4.68 ERA over the last 2 months.  He threw 3 innings in the Bigs earlier this year and gave up 2 HRs.  This could turn into a Looney Tunes cartoon early.  It hit 98 degrees yesterday at Coors Field, so this is a ticking time bomb.  Let’s just book Charlie Blackmon for a dong, possibly leading off the bottom of the 1st, and call it a day.

Who do you think will hit a home run today?  Let us know in the comments!

This is just the tip of the iceberg of research these MLB lineup experts put in every single day over at Hammer.  If you like what you read or if you’re not winning your daily fantasy baseball contests, it’s worth it to see what they can do for you.  Send them an email here or a message on Twitter @HammerDFS to get started on your path to green.

Thanks for checking in with us.  As always, check those MLB lineups prior to slate lock for late scratches, keep an eye on the weather, and good luck in your contests!

  1. Braun dong! And anyone playing Upton isn’t mad (double, walk, stolen base, 2 runs scored).
