Johnny G’s 2015 Quicken Loans National DraftKings Fantasy Golf Picks

Last weeks recap:  Another close call, but two guys in the top 10 does not meet up to my expectations. Good for Jason Day though, the guy is playing at a high level, and I am glad to see he can bounce back after another loss in the majors.  Don’t worry, he will get his. Perhaps at Whistling Straits in a few weeks.

Johnny G’s DraftKings Fantasy Picks For Quicken Loans National

Starting this week I am going to go for a slightly different format. I am going to focus on a salary cap style of fantasy golf called DraftKings.  Since they use a salary cap, you have to pick golfers at each level, not just load up your squad with top 5 golfers and call it a day.  I will still pick my overall favorite to win each week regardless, but this new style of league is very exciting.

High Value Fantasy Pick –  Justin Rose -$12,200 – Great player. Major champion. Look for him to provide quality value this week.

Mid Value Fantasy Pick – Brendon ToddHistorically plays well here. I know it is now at the Robert Trent Jones course, but still I am sure he will have plenty of confidence.  Update:  I guess he is not playing now.  Go with Gary Woodland at $9,000

Low Value Fantasy Pick – Daniel Berger – $7,700 –Us hardcore golf fans know how good Berger will be, but for now you can probably get a good value pick out of him.

Player salaries will be updated when made available.

Favorite To Win:

1. Justin Rose – He is playing decent, but he should be playing better. I expect him to finish off the summer well and compete at the PGA next month, so now is as good as time as any to get started.

Longshot to win Quicken Loans National

1. Andres Romero –  A total sleeper with tons of talent. Played good last year, but was on a different golf course.
