Johnny G’s 2015 PGA OHL Classic DraftKings Lineup 11/12/15

Another week down and last week’s DraftKings PGA lineup landed two guys in the top 5 (Kisner and Dustin J.). That makes 3/4 lineups hitting the 50/50 winnings since the Fall Series started.

Let’s keep the momentum going as the PGA tour heads down to Mexico for the 2015 OHL Classic at Mayakoba! While there may not be many players in the top 30 of the world rankings here, the tournament still earns FedEx Cup points and still pays out prize money, so no one is taking it lightly.

As always, I will first post my initial thoughts on the Sunday before the start of the event. Then when the DraftKings lineups become available I will update the post with my official lineup of the week.

My first observations led me to like some of the following golfers:
1. Harris English – One of the better players in the field, he won here in 2013 and looks to expand from just an average 2015 season. Depending on the values, I am pretty sure I will have him on my optimal OHL Classic team.

2. Jason Bohn – Strong finishes here in multiple years allow me to think he will perform well here again. Also, he finished last season playing very well and made lots of birdies down the stretch.

3. Chris Stroud – Another ‘horses for courses’ kind of play this week, he will be valued low, but his previous play here is much better than is play at most other courses. Therefore, he will be a bargain in most fantasy golf leagues.

4. Will Mackenzie – Yup, another guy that plays well here. Kind of a sleeper in most tournaments. The fall series of events normally brings out guys that want to get to the next calendar year with some money under their belts. Not every pro is rich and having a good bit of cash helps them sleep better around the holidays. Also, many guys outside the top 125 do not qualify for many of the events such as the WGC and other invitational only types, so they get theirs here.

Stay tuned for the official fantasy golf lineup!

1Jason Bohn10300A strong recent history of play AND solid history at this event are a good sign. Normally he is not this expensive either. So that must say something.
2Ben Crane6900Crane is coming off a decent finish and in a field like this always has a chance to win.
3Harris English10200Has played great here before and when he can putt he can win.
4John Huh6800Huh won here a few years ago. Not playing well at all really, but at 6800 what do you expect?
5Will MacKenzie6300A true horses for courses guy, and a feel good story, Will would love to post a top 3 this week to help secure his spot next year in some of the bigger tournaments.
6Chris Stroud9300When else is he 9300? Maybe because he plays great hereā€¦
