Johnny G’s 2015 BMW Championship DraftKings Fantasy Golf Picks

The 2nd to last PGA Tour event is here this week and the FedEx Cup field will be cut to 30 golfers after this event.  However, that does not mean much for us daily fantasy golf league participants.

This week brings us to Conway Farms for the BMW Championship.  For those hardcore fans, you are already aware this was the venue for the 2013 BMW.  With that being said, much of the fantasy advice for this week is based on that fact.  This is a horses for courses play and many of the picks below are based upon that fact.

Also, we like golfers that are playing well too, so that is always a consideration.

Another key factor for this week is there is NO CUT.  Yup, you get your guys for all 4 days!  So the value spread is not as important as you can tell in the DraftKings salaries for the BMW Championship.

With the way Day, Spieth and McIlroy have cooled off I saved the salaries from them and made a more balanced team. Perfect for DraftKings Golf 50/50’s.  I stayed away from Dustin Johnson since he played TERRIBLE here in 2013.  Could bite me, but thats the educated risk I will take.  Onto the fantasy golf picks for the BMW Championship:

1Zach Johnson9500Why do more people love this guy? Is he flashy? No. Is he exciting to watch? No. Does he fist pump and break clubs? No. Does rake in cash hand over fist every year? Hell yes he does. And he is the defending champ at THIS course. Book it.
2Nick Watney7000Who? Yeah he needs a good finish. Placed 2nd here in 2013. While not playing great, he is a good value play and not many people will probably pick him. Even if he plays bad, there is no cut.
3Hunter Mahan8000Mahan did not play well this year, but has steadily improved. He placed in the top 10 at Conway Farms a few years ago and needs a good finish. A good value this week.
4Matt Jones7900Jones played in the final group at the PGA on Saturday and has placed some good golfer lately and the young Aussie should perform well here at the BMW Championship this week.
5Ryan Moore7400Moore has missed two straight cuts, but he placed in the top 10 here in 2013. He needs a good result to make it to the final FedEx Cup event.
6Jim Furyk10000One of the most consistent ball strikers in the game today, Furyk is a consistent start almost every week. He played very well here in 2013 as well, giving you even further proof he is a good fantasy golf pick this week.
