The NHL ramps it up with a nine game slate tonight. We’ll be going with a more balanced lineup, not that I have many complaints from last night’s strategy.
Ovechkin carried our lineup to 33.5 FPP, which easily secures a 50/50 win (on most nights). Although, to be honest, I did miss on one of my contests that got up to 35.5, but that’s not the norm. The cash lines across the board were higher than what I’m used to seeing.
Today’s DraftKings NHL lineup is anchored by Kari Lehtonen in goal. Lehtonen is averaging less than 2 goals allowed per game against the Jets in nine career starts. He’s 7-1-1 in those games against Winnipeg.
*Update from Chris (4:00 EST): Scratch Lehtonen, he’s not starting. I’ve swapped in Carter Hutton in the chart. It was a toss up between the two anyway, so I’m still confident in this lineup.*
We’re taking four players from the Ottawa/Edmonton game which is projecting to be one of the higher scoring games of the night. The Oilers are giving up 4 goals per game over their last eight, which bodes well for a Senators team fighting for a playoff spot. At the same time, Anderson is a different goalie on the road, averaging 3.4 GAA.
Be sure to always check your lineups before they lock. Sometimes late injuries, scratches, etc. can cause some great values to be unlocked right before the NHL puck drops. If you want to win, you really need to check your fantasy lineups frequently on game day. Just use my lineup as a template to start your DFS research.
