Johnny G’s 2015 Week 1 NFL FanDuel Fantasy Football Picks

Just another week until the 2015 NFL season is underway!  In this post, Johnny G will discuss his week 1 FanDuel fantasy football lineup.  People love to over value rookies early in the year. While they may have a few hits here and there, I play the percentages.  I like the 50/50 games best with a conservative – value based lineup with a few stars to carry the load for my squad.     Let’s get to the predictions!

NFL Week 1 FanDuel Lineup – Fantasy Football 2015

PositionNameTeamSalaryProjections
QBTony RomoDallas8700Romo always seems to play well against the G-men, at least fantasy wise. 285 yds 2 TD's.
RBDoug MartinTB6900I like the matchup this week and there should be tons of energy in Tampa with Winston starting. 88 yds 1 TD.
RBMatt ForteChicago8800The guy keeps on getting it done. Until he doesn't, numbers don't lie! 76yds rush / 55 yds rec. 1TD.
WRDavante AdamsGB5500A great value play this week with Nelson out for the year. 90 yds.
WRCalvin JohnsonDetroit8500Megatron will have a huge rebound year. 125 yds and 2TD to start it off right.
WRSammy WatkinsBuffalo7600A huge playmaker who will also get his fair share of yards this year with McCoy taking much of the pressure off the passing game. 99 yds. 12 yds rushing.
KickerBrandon McManusDenver45004 points. Good offense and he is cheap, what else is there.
TELarry DonnellNYG5300A value play, if he gets enough snaps he might find the endzone. 44 yds.
DefenseJacksonvilleJAGS4200I was out of money. I hope they make a few turnovers…

With only a 60,000 salary cap, you have to make choices. We are talking about choices.  Enough.  Think about it, but do not over think it. Do research but do not have paralysis by analysis.  Clear as mud, eh?

As with any fantasy projections, be sure to check the injury report, weather forecast, and the date of the next harvest moon. Ok, strike that last comment.  Good luck guys!

Also, check out my DraftKings week 1 NFL lineup here!  While the formats are similar, there are some differences in the pricing models, which I will discuss at a later date.
