Johnny G’s 2015 DraftKings Deutsche Bank Fantasy Golf Picks

Another great performance from Jason Day last week, makes us wonder if it is now a 3 way race for the best in the world. The 2nd leg of the FedEx Cup this week moves to the Northeast for the Deutsche Bank.   The tournament starts Friday by the way, in case you were going to skip work Thursday.

Ok, now more waiting, check out the fantasy predictions below! Pick a guy or two from each of the tiers in order to form your team. Final salaries are normally posted on DraftKings Monday afternoon.

DraftKings Lineup For Deutsche Bank Championship

1st Tier

Jason Day – Why change something that works?  I will keep picking Day until he does not produce. The floodgates have opened and I think the 27 year old day could have a decade long run, much like his fellow countryman Greg Norman.

Rory McIlroy – I think he is close to 100%, so I expect him to make a ton of birdies this week. The fact he plays very well and loves the course here does not hurt either.

2nd Tier

Webb Simpson – Webb is a late summer kind of guy. Has some strong performances here as well.  I like guys to make cuts and top 10’s for the 50/50 DraftKings leagues and Webb is the guy for that role. Book it.

Jim Furyk – Steady Jim.  Sure he may fold on Sunday to a T3, but hey, I almost expect that.  Guy is a cut making machine so you know he will get you points each time you plug him into the lineup.

3rd Tier

Kevin Kisner – Kisner is a great ball striker who will get his first win on tour soon. Will it be this week?  I am not sure on that, but he is going to be a top 25 world kind of player for years to come.  Once he gets his first win they will keep on coming. I am big on this guy for the 2016 season.

Bryce Molder – A great value play, Molder has posted some solid finishes this year and many people are not aware of how good he really is.

Daniel Summerhays – Similar to Molder, Summerhays posted a great finish at The Barclays and needs a few more in order to reach the final week of the FedEx Cup playoffs.

Longshots of the Week

Jim Herman – Herman may not be the longest guy on the tour, but he is a top 100 golfer and when he can post a few 68’s here and there a top 15 finish is possible.  With only a few people being cut this week and him needing a good finish, he is a great play at a low price.
