The NHL begins the month of March with nine games. The highlights of the slate are the Stars traveling to Nashville and the Capitals hosting the Penguins. It’s worth keeping an eye on the offense-heavy Flames in Boston against a Bruins team that doesn’t defend their home ice all that well.
Speaking of highlights, last night’s roster wasn’t one of them. We got decent numbers out of our goalie (which wasn’t easy to do last week even in a winning week), but couldn’t get anything else going. The good news is we’re still playing with house money and we’re back at it today.
Assuming he gets the start, we’re anchoring today’s DFS lineup with Jaroslav Halak in goal. Cizikas again, you ask? He’s blown past his projections in his last four games. I don’t think it’s time to get off the Johnny Gaudreau train yet since he has another good matchup tonight. I also wanted some exposure to the Panthers taking on the Jets, so I slotted in Barkov.
Be sure to always check your lineups before they lock. Sometimes late injuries, scratches, etc. can cause some great values to be unlocked right before the NHL puck drops. If you want to win, you really need to check your fantasy lineups frequently on game day. Just use my lineup as a template to start your DFS research.
