It’s a nine game NHL slate on Tuesday, November 7th.
Johnny G invites the NHL experts from Hammer DFS to share some of their research and insights to help you build your rosters and cross the money line in your DFS contests.
Arizona lost a close one in OT in Washington last night. Pittsburgh is well rested and ready to go, having last played on Saturday at home. I have to recommend Matt Murray for your cash Goalkeeper tonight because of those 2 factors. I don’t think the Yotes will lay down for the Pens, but I just don’t think they have the horses to keep up with a well-rested Penguins squad tonight.
The Islanders are the #2 team in goals in the league, and Edmonton is #8 is goals allowed, also giving up over 30 shots per game. That said, it’s time for John Tavares, Anders Lee, and Josh Bailey to hit your lineup again tonight. They’re home, they get the last change, and Tavares is putting in 25% of his shots. He’s tied for 2nd in the league in goals with 12, and Bailey is tied for 3rd in the league in assists with 15. The Islanders have won three of their last four, and scoring 21 goals over that span.
I think Andrew Shaw ($4000 on DraftKings, $3400 on FanDuel) is a good gpp play tonight. Vegas is starting Maxime Lagace. He has a 4.01 GAA and a SV% of .86. Montreal takes more shots than any team in the league and Lagace isn’t who you want to have in net against a team like Montreal. Andrew Shaw gets a ton of minutes on the ice, both even strength and on PP2. He has 3 goals and 2 assists over the last 6 games to go along with 17 shots. You can pair him with Danault, or even Pacioretty. Patch has taken a high volume of shots, but not many have found the back of the net. Pacioretty and Shaw are on PP1 together, while Danault is on PP2.
