Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 6/22/17:
Alex: Edwin Encarnacion is 5 for 10 vs Miley, 2 of which were homers. E5 is hot in the month of June with 7 HRs and a .543 wOBA vs LHP.
Chris: Currently Matt Cain’s ERA is under 5.00, but that is only a result of pitching in a pitcher-friendly home park. Cain on the road is the gas can we remember and grew fond of stacking against. He’s pitching in Atlanta which is a great place for lefty power, so I’m taking Matt Adams. Adams is a new man since being shipped to the Braves. He’s 3 for 8 in his career vs. Cain but without a strikeout. So he puts the ball in play and they are averaging 93 mph leaving his bat. That makes for a quick ride to the right field seats.
