Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 7/25/17:
Garret: Jesse Chavez is giving up 1.85 HR/9 for the season. Over the last month, lefties are hitting the ball at 51.7 % Hard contact. So tomorrow my pick is Michael Brantley. He is on quite a heater hitting 40% hard contact and .325 average for the month of July while slugging .463.
Alex: Justin Upton is 6-14 with 2 HRs vs Duffy. Upton has been smashing the ball since the break, posting a .485 wOBA and a .263 ISO. He hits lefties pretty hard too with a 54.5% hard hit since the break. Duffy has a 1.5 HR/9 and a 45.6% fly ball in July.
Chris: Lately, the Astros don’t show up to the ballpark without scoring 8 or more runs. Nick Pivetta is giving up 2.127 HR/9, the second highest on the slate today. Evan Gattis is fresh from a day off today. McCann should sit after playing 2 days in a row. Gattis, like the entire team, has it going lately. He’s scored double-digit FanDuel points in 5 of his last 9 starts, including 4 home runs.
