Bringing a solid 50/50 lineup here on January 2nd 2016 for the FanDuel NBA contest, I think Westbrook leads the way with over 60 fantasy points. With normally 250 – 280 placing for most 50/50’s, that will go a long way to getting us in the money! The lower value guys play a ton of minutes so I feel confident we can place in our 100 person contest.

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday.   1. Thanks for the advice all year and the help. I was wondering what is the best type of 50/50 contest to get into the 20 person 100 person or the unlimited entry huge ones and is it better to put in a lot of small bets are just a few big ones

    1. Hi Russell, thanks for reading our stuff! I wouldn’t go unlimited entry unless you’re on a serious roll. That’s shark territory there. We haven’t seen a huge difference in the cash lines between the 20 person and the 100 person 50/50’s and double ups. Small bets in 50/50’s should give you your highest percentage of cashes. I would suggest monitoring your trends and bankroll evenly. If you’re killing it, take a swing with a bigger contest. If you leak a little money on a bad stretch, use several smaller contests to build your bankroll back up. Does that make sense?

    2. Also, I would rather place 5 $1 entries than 1 $5 entry.

      You would be shocked about the variance. I have done that and placed anywhere from 54th – 45th. So it really does matter if you are playing $5 and $10 and up 50/50 contests. The more you play the more I would hedge my bets like I described above. Thanks for reading my friend.
