Recap from last week’s fantasy golf picks:
At one point in round two, Johnny G had the 1st and 2nd place golfers. That did not last long though. Zach Johnson made a respectable 7th place finish, but nothing too great on the week. Still looking for the 1st win, but Johnny G’s picks have been solid with a nearly 80% of his golfers making the cut.
2015 Sony Open Fantasy Golf Picks
1. Tony Finau – This young big break alum has proven he belongs. He will play well here and should be able to continue his momentum from the fall series. A top 10 finish would do him wonders on his way to reach the Tour Championship this fall.
2. Jimmy Walker – Picking the defending champ is never a bad play. After a tough playoff loss last week, Walker should be hungry to redeem himself. Do not see many reverse c finishes these days, but Walker has a bit of it in his swing. Surprisingly long, a great ball striker, and calm under pressure, make him a threat in the majors this year.
3, Matt Kuchar – Bringing out the big guns this week. He plays alot, so picking him too early in the year can be a waste, since he will probably tee it up 25 times this year. This week should be good to him.
4. Jason Day – When he is healthy he can win anytime, anywhere in the world. He has almost won majors already and should be a top 10 golfer every year. His health and motivation can be questioned at times, but if is final round at the Hyundai proved anything, he is ready to go. I would like to see him healthy at Augusta and he will contend.
While the big stars are waiting for the California golf tournaments to tee it up, this field does have some stars. It is always hard to preview the Sony Open winner, but hopefully these fantasy golf picks above can help out your fantasy league standings!
