Now that last night is out of our system… It can be a humbling DFS experience when there are multiple blowouts, like last night. The very bottom of the benches come into play and eat up valuable minutes from higher profile players. With 24 teams in action, only three games were decided by a single digit spread.
Tonight we flip to the other extreme: a three game fantasy NBA slate. Westbrook, Durant, and King James will have massive ownership percentages. There is enough value in the lower salaries to start a viable lineup with some of the big boys in it and do very well. Injuries (Valanciunas, Carroll, Shumpert again), suspension (Jefferson), and blowout potential in LA provide a lot of good options.
I’m leaning more towards a balanced (as usual) lineup, which should find lower ownership percentages. Instead of playing the field and fighting over who’s cheapest four players are better, I’m more comfortable trying to lap the field with an even lineup. If you feel better swapping a Walker for Beverley or Lin and Marvin for Brewer to get LBJ in there, I don’t blame you, his splits vs. OKC are impressive. I may start a secondary lineup and do exactly that myself.
