Now onto tonight’s DraftKings MLB Fantasy tip of the day: May 3, 2017
1. Every Kansas City Royal – It’s Pelfrey day! We’re loading up on Royals. Moustakas (6 for 14, 2 HR), Hosmer (6 for 13, 6 BB), Cain (8 for 16, 3 SB), and Gordon (7 for 18, HR, 3B) will all get a long look today. KC plays much better at home and Pelfrey is not good.
2. Jose Abreu – We’re going to the other dugout now. It’s not a large sample size, but Jose makes good contact against Karns. He’s 4 for 9 with a couple of walks and zero strikeouts. All 4 of those hits are XBH (3 doubles & a HR). Before Jason Vargas 2.0 shut him down Monday, Abreu had 6 consecutive multi-hit games. Check the status on Avisail Garcia for a promising 2 man stack. Garcia has taken Karns deep 3 times in 11 ABs.
3. Keon Broxton – His strikeouts and sub-.200 average keep him as a GPP-only play (if that), but Keon has a modest 4 game hit streak going into Tuesday’s action. He’s hit for a career cycle vs. Wainwright in 7 plate appearances (4 for 6 with a single, double, triple, HR plus a walk). If we can catch him heating up at a cheap price, he’ll be a part of our Brewers stacks for sure. As long as you can stomach rostering a player striking out nearly 41% of the time.
