So people have asked me how does DraftKings fantasy golf work?
Simple. Sign up. Deposit money. It is 100% Legal!!
I started with $25 and once I play enough I got the bonus. I am conservative by nature so my money lasts a while. But sometimes I wish I would have deposited more, since I won $5 on a $1 fantasy play, it could have been much better.
So you pick 6 golfers each week. You have a salary cap of $50,000 and each player is ranked accordingly. Obviously guys like Jordan Spieth, Dustin Johnson and the like are much more expensive. Draftkings structures the players so you can never stack your team each week, you must be able to balance it all out. Much like the salary cap style fantasy baseball leagues back in my hey day of the mid 1990’s. Can I still get Mickey Tettleton for $1?
Tons of choices
Big winner = $100,000 – $1 Million. Sometimes you only need a few bucks to try. If you play the lottery, STOP. Try this instead. At least you have some skill involved.
50/50 = Beat 50% of the other contestants and win! This is probably my favorite since you just have to beat half the competition. No matter what happens as along as some of your guys make the cut you can still win.
In fact most of the payouts are deep into the field, so you can at least win a bit of money even if you do not do great.
While there are many more types of choices than the ones above, at least you can see the cool fantasy golf games that DraftKings has.
Can I play just one week? Say the US Open?
Sure can. That is the beauty of one week fantasy sites. You do not have to invest all your time in money for an entire season. The PGA Tour season runs roughly 48 weeks out of the year, so many people just want to focus on the big tournaments (Majors, The Players, FedEx Cup, WGC Events) and not play the rest. The choice is yours.
Is DraftKings a legitimate website?
It sure it. They payout fast and fairly.
It is totally allowed in something like 45 out of the 50 states, so be sure to check the site for the few states that DraftKings is not allowed to do business in.
I will continue to post follow up articles on how I like it over at DK playing fantasy golf.
