Friday July 7, 2017 will get the last series before the All Star break started. There are 15 games in all. Scherzer hosts the Braves. Greinke gets a home start against the Reds. Charlie Morton is back for the ‘Stros. The marquee matchup of the night might be deGrom vs. Martinez at Busch Stadium.

Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 7/7/17:
Garret: Derek Holland is giving up 1.75 HR/9 and 16.3% HR/FB. 39.2% Hard contact and 39.2% FB. Which translates to about a 476 Ft piss missile from Nolan Arenado. He got the day off today, but back to business hopefully tomorrow and he loves to hit lefties! He’s hitting 48% FB against Lefties with 19% HR/FB.
Alex: Hanley Ramirez has been seeing the ball well over the last 2 weeks, posting a .311 ISO, .418 wOBA and 3 HRs. Odorizzi has given up 6 HRs to RHH over his last 6 starts allowing a 47.8 hard hit and 43.3% fly ball rate.
Chris: Sean Manaea is having a solid season and is brutal on lefties. Righty batting averages are 85 points higher. Nelson Cruz has faced Manaea 12 times and reached base 8 of those trips. Overall, he’s 4 for 8 with 2 dongs and 4 walks. He has 4 hits including a HR in his 2 games heading into Thursday night’s action. If his dongs come in bunches, tonight will be a good night to roster Nellie.
Zack Greinke is not a dream matchup when picking hitters, but Joey Votto has had success against him. He is 12 for 29 (.414) in his career with 7 XBH including 3 HRs against Greinke. Ownership numbers could stay low, so if you like a healthy BvP sample size and a great park to hit in, Votto could make us some money today.
