It’s the penultimate weekend of the MLB regular season. A full 15 games awaits us on Friday, September 22nd. The lower ERAs on the slate belong to Greinke hosting the Marlins, Richards visiting the Juice Box, and Hill hosting Shark and the Giants. A few bloated ERAs likely to be targeted with bats are Ubaldo’s 6.57 home to the Rays, Gsellman against the visiting Nats, Nick Martinez in Oakland, and Conley at Chase Field.
Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups. From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball. The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.
If you need more than a four-bagger to get your bankroll growing, Hammer DFS has a full-service chat to get you back on track. Check out a sample of what their members pulled in recently:
Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 9/22/17:
Chris: Jordan Lyles can’t get southpaws out. In 117 ABs, lefties are hitting .368 with a .417 OBP. It’s a pitchers’ park and the Rockies on the road, but I can’t ignore those numbers. His WHIP is 1.85, he’s giving up more than 2 HR/9, and he doesn’t strike out many batters. Take your pick: Blackmon, Parra, or CarGo. I’ll go with Carlos Gonzalez, although I could make a case for any of them. He had a 4 game hit streak going into his matchup against Clayton Richard Thursday night. He’s finally come alive in the 2nd half of the season. He has double-digit FanDuel points in 8 of his last 13 starts. I’m looking for him to take one out of Petco today.
Just 4 hits in 13 ABs against Marco Estrada is pretty good, but when all 4 hits are dongs, it’s time to put Gary Sanchez on the radar. He has 4 HRs in his last 10 games. For the month of September, he’s hitting .339. Don’t be surprised if the Kraken is released.
