Johnny G’s MLB Daily Fantasy Home Run Predictions 7-18-17

We have 15 games on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 and all of them are included in the main slate today.  Our pitching choices run to both extremes today.  Kershaw will face the White Sox in Chicago and Big Sexy himself, Bartolo Colon, returns to the bump in Minnesota to face the Yankees.

Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups.  From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball.  The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.

If you need more than a four-bagger to get your bankroll growing, Hammer DFS has a full-service chat to get you back on track.  Check out a sample of what their members pulled in recently:

Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 7/18/17

AlexTravis Shaw is 7 for 10 with 2 HRs off Nova.  Shaw has a 30% HR/FB in July with 43.5% hard hit and fly ball rates.  Nova has been tagged by lefties over his last 5 starts allowing 4 HRs, .400 wOBA and a 22.2% HR/FB over 15.1 innings vs LHHs.

Chris: I’ll take Matt Adams today facing John Lackey with the apparent jet stream that is right field at SunTrust.   Adams’ Flyball % is up to 55% over the last 2 weeks.  Lackey is throwing a lot of strikes lately and is giving up an average Exit Velocity of 93 mph on batted balls.  He’s served up 8 dongs in his last 4 road starts.

You know who might be in serious trouble tomorrow?  Dinelson Lamet starting at Coors Field.  We will always be concerned (or licking our chops depending on how you look at it) with a fly ball pitcher in Colorado.  What tips the scales a bit farther is his previous road starts.  He’s given up 5 HRs in his last 3 road starts.  All 3 outings were in good hitter’s parks (Chase Field, Miller Park, and Progressive Field).  His long-term trend is an extreme fly ball pitcher at around 50%.  This could prove disastrous today.  All Rockies’ bats you can afford may be in play today.

Who do you think will hit a home run today?  Let us know in the comments!

This is just the tip of the iceberg of research these MLB lineup experts put in every single day over at Hammer.  If you like what you read or if you’re not winning your daily fantasy baseball contests, it’s worth it to see what they can do for you.  Send them an email here or a message on Twitter @HammerDFS to get started on your path to green.

Thanks for checking in with us.  As always, check those MLB lineups prior to slate lock for late scratches, keep an eye on the weather, and good luck in your contests!
