Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 8/18/17:
Garret: Miguel Cabrera‘s last homerun was July 28th. To me, this anomaly can not last much longer. Over the last 7 Days, Miggy is batting .316. The reason I’m choosing him is because his salary on DK is absurd! I picked him up yesterday facing a Lefty for only $3200 and took the cheap 11.0 FPTS . Tomorrow he faces Rich Hill and his salary is only $3000! Rich Hill is having a stellar year, but Miggy is 4 for 9 against him with a Dong. It feels weird picking up Miguel Cabrera for “salary relief”, but tomorrow I think he will take Rich Hill yard AND help you pay up for an all-star pitcher.
Alex: Gerardo Parra has had a decent month so far posting a .355 wOBA, .481 SLG and a 55% hard hit. Tonight he gets Garza who owns a 6.60 xFIP, 2.2HR/9 and only keeping the ball on the ground a miniscule 28.9% over his last 5 starts. Oh, did I mention that they’re in Coors? And that Parra has a .533 wOBA, 3 triples and 2 doubles over 17 AB vs Garza
