Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 8/3/17:
Garret: Since July 1st, Jose Altuve is batting an absurd .466 with 4 HRs, 10 2B, and 1 3B. Putting his OPS at 1.204. He gets lefty Blake Snell, who he is 1 for 4 with a dong against in his career. It really doesn’t matter who is pitching right now. Jose is doing yard work tomorrow.
Alex: I guess we’re picking on Snell today lol my prediction on who’s joining Altuve tomorrow is Evan Gattis. Now I know what you’re thinking, he’s not Altuve, but hear me out. Gattis hit 6 homers, a .365 ISO, 1.041 OPS and a .429 wOBA in July. He also has a 53.3 hard hit % and fly ball % vs LHP since July 1st. There is a reason this is the best offense in baseball and Snell is going to find out why the hard way.
Chris: Matthew Boyd makes his way to Camden Yards today. Wellington Castillo had an excellent month of July and traditionally hits lefties well. He’s faced Boyd twice and hit safely both times. Beef Wellington has hit in his last 5 straight starts with 3 multi-hit games and a home run in that span.
