There are 15 games making up the main slate for Tuesday, September 5th. deGrom hosts the Phillies. Strasburg makes a start in Miami. Greinke goes back to the bump in LA. Verlander will make his Astros debut in Seattle.
Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups. From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball. The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.

Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 9/5/17:
Chris: Steven Brault makes a spot start for the Bucs. It’s a home start, but he faces the Cubs. He’s been long relief since late July and not very successful. He’s given up runs in 5 of his 6 appearances. He doesn’t give up a lot of homers, but he won’t be pitching many innings, so the Cubs will face the soft side of the Pittsburgh bullpen. I’ll go lefty on lefty and take Anthony Rizzo. His numbers are surprisingly close no matter which handedness he faces on the mound. Rizz has double-digit FanDuel points in 7 of his last 10 games, including 9 XBHs. (BvP made me strongly consider Bryant also)
How about Anibal Sanchez giving up 9 HRs in his last 3 starts?? There’s plenty of good BvP numbers for KC making them a stack option. I think one of my favorite young players has a good shot to get Arcade gold today (dong AND a stolen base), Whit Merrifield. He’s cooled off a bit over his last few games, but he has a small sample of solid numbers vs. Anibal (3 for 5 with a steal). He flashes some power, having back-to-back games with a homer last week. He’s also one of those guys that if he gets on first, he’s most likely taking 2nd base. The price is reasonable and he’s likely leading off on the road, a great spot guaranteeing 27 outs and maximum ABs.
