Johnny G’s QB Picks Week 13 – DraftKings NFL & FanDuel NFL

Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL.  Sorry for taking off last week, but I needed to recover from the beating I took with making predictions the previous week. Really, I suggested Blake Bortles? Did someone hit me over the head?

Johnny G invites the NFL experts from Hammer DFS to share some of their research and insights to help you build your rosters and cross the money line in your DFS contests:

Alright, with self deprecation aside, I am going to try to convince you that Tom Brady (here until further notice), Carson Wentz, Philip Rivers and Jared Goff can help you win you daily fantasy matchups this week!

What else can I say about Tom Brady that I have not said?  He loves playing Buffalo (here is a free bit of advice on TE’s: play Gronk.  He has 11 TD’s against his hometown team in his career).  Brady is again near the top of the money scale at $9300 on FanDuel ($7800 on DraftKings), but is looking at 20.9 points with a 2.24 value rating.  He is averaging 21.78 points per game over the last 5 weeks.  Buffalo is stingy on defense giving up 13.6 points per game to opposing quarterbacks, which is currently 7th in the league.  Brady always plays well in cold weather and against division opponents, look for him to go over the point total again and help you win your pool.

Carson Wentz is having a great year, no denying this.  The Eagles are rolling and he is coming off a 23.98 point performance.  He is projected for 20 points this week against a tough Seattle team, but not the same “Legion of Boom” we are used to seeing.  Seattle still has pretty good numbers, giving up 13.6 points to opposing quarterbacks, which is good for 6th in the league.  Wentz is going for $8000 on FanDuel ($7200 on DraftKings), a 14% discount and he is worth every penny with a value of 2.5, good for 2nd this week.

Philip Rivers fooled me last week against Dallas.  He played phenomenally and went for 23.98 points last week.  This week, for $8000 on FanDuel and $7000 on DraftKings, you can get him against a Cleveland team giving up 18.1 points to opposing quarterbacks, good for 25th in the league. Rivers is projected to get 19.1 points giving him a 2.39 value rating, good for 3rd this week. I really like him this week.

That brings us to Jared Goff and the out of nowhere Rams.  No Robert Woods last week? No problem.  Goff was still able to put up 20.86 points and is playing an Arizona team giving up 19.0 points to opposing quarterbacks this week, good for 29th in the league.  Goff is projected to get you 18.2 points for a paltry FanDuel price tag of $7900 ($6700 DraftKings), a 15% discount and 2.3 value rating, good for 10th this week.  Given the defense he is playing, I think his point projection seems low and I think he goes over, by at least 2, matching last week.

There you have it Hammerheads, my fearless projections for week 12! Good luck and until next week!
