With the WV floods wiping out last week’s PGA Tour event, we are more eager than ever to see some golf being played again. This week the 2016 British Open is being played at Troon, who last hosted the event in 2004. For all you not so hardcore golf fans, Todd Hamilton was the surprise winner that year. Troon is a course where you can get some weird bounces plus the wind, and more importantly timing of the wind, could decide the outcome.

British Open DraftKings Stars and Sleepers
Stars
Dustin Johnson – A no-brainer really, but people will look for reasons why he will not keep up his hot streak. He may be under 30% owned actually in some contests. I am riding him.
Sergio Garcia – So close, so many times…. Even though I doubt he will win, a top 10 finish is great for cash games. Also, props to Sergio for playing in Rio at the Olympics next month.
Sleepers
Matt Fitzpatrick – Not the cheapest, but not well known yet outside of the golf world. He will be after this week.
Chris Wood – A Euro who is rapidly rising in the world ranking. Could be leading after the first few days.
Also, check out Daily Fantasy Nerds DFS lineup builder! While they do not have a fantasy golf lineup builder at this time, they offer quality DFS lineup generators for many other sports. They also offer a FREE trial period to test out the software.
While we may not always win our PGA DFS contests, we feel our golf DFS strategy is on point with some of the best players out there.
