Johnny G’s 2015 FedEx St. Jude Classic Free Fantasy Golf Expert Picks

Last Week’s recap: Jim Furyk gave Johnny G a decent chance to win, but to no avail.  Three out of four golfers made the cut for us, but overall we can do better. Johnny G needs a few good weeks of fantasy golf in order to get back to the lead.

2015 FedEx St Jude Fantasy Golf Picks

1. Dustin Johnson –  This guy is due for another win.  It could be the US Open in two weeks at Chambers Bay. But it also could be as soon as this week in Memphis at the St. Jude golf tournament. His crazy distance make his a good pick each week. Avoid the quads though DJ…

2. Phil Mickelson- Lefty, at this stage of his career, only cares about one thing: winning the career grand slam and snagging an US Open.

3. Billy Horschel- On Sunday, Billy made a good late charge to land a top 10 at The Memorial.  I like the current FedEx Cup champ to get on a good streak this summer and into the fall. He is too good not to be playing as a top 15 player in the world.

4. Robert Streb–  Most people would not know this guy if they saw him at Dicks Sporting Goods, but he is competitive and especially look for him in this event where the top players in the world are not playing.  If he does not go top 10 this week I will be crazy shocked!

Dark Horse Long Shot Of The Week

1. Ben Crane –  From time to time Mr. Crane can sneak up on you and win a tournament. Not the flashiest guy on tour, but he never seems to have trouble keeping his card. Book it.

For the rest of fantasy sports players, we often play more than one fantasy league throughout the season. For me, I really enjoy NASCAR and have joined a NASCAR Fantasy League.  Below are some of this week’s picks at Michigan International Speedway Quicken Loans 400 this week.

2015 NASCAR Quicken Loans 400 at Michigan Fantasy Race Picks

1. Jimmie Johnson – The defending champ seems to always run well here.  In fact, there are not many non-road course tracks where he does not run well.  I like him to grab at least a top 5 if he can stay out of trouble early in the race.

2. Kasey Kahne- A strong showing here in 2014 leads me to believe Kasey will be running near the front of the pack for most of the race.

Longshot of the Week

1. Kyle Larson – This young kid as talent and can drive a race car. He is currently in 19th place in the Sprint Cup standings but has much more potential than that.
