The NHL has four games hitting the ice tonight. For our DraftKings DFS lineup, we’re going to spend a little at the top with only eight teams in action. When you’ve decided to roster an expensive player, it certainly helps if the player is red-hot. With nine goals in his last seven games, Alex Ovechkin fits the bill. He’s eating up a big chunk of salary, but he’s consistent. If we can count on 7 FPP or more, we’ll be in great shape.
I’m also suggesting committing $8100 to Tuukka Rask in this lineup. The Blue Jackets are not good and getting worse. They have scored 14 goals all month. If Boston handles Columbus like everyone expects, Rask should be looking at a minimum of 6 FPP.
*Update from Chris (11:20 a.m. EST): Rask is not getting the start tonight. Please note, the lineup has been updated.
We’ve got a top-heavy lineup below, but with a small slate we need to be sure we lock in points as best we can. If our top two players put up the 13-14 FPP we’re projecting, we won’t need very much from the rest of the lineup to get over the cash line. We’re looking to cross over 30 points with this roster and secure a 50/50 or Double Up win.
Be sure to always check your lineups before they lock. Sometimes late injuries, scratches, etc. can cause some great values to be unlocked right before the NHL puck drops. If you want to win, you really need to check your fantasy lineups frequently on game day. Just use my lineup as a template to start your research.
