Johnny G’s 2014 Frys.com Fantasy Golf Picks

Week 1 – Fantasy Golf Picks

This is the first installment of a new weekly fantasy golf season.  Playing in a fantasy league at pgatour.com that allows you to pick 4 of the golfers in the field.

The only catch is you can only pick each person 10 times during the year. Sorry Kuchar.

No fluff. Just picks. I will make you victorious. Here they are:

1. Ryo IshikawaYes, he is not playing well. I know. But too much talent not to catch fire on the PGA tour. Maybe it is his year.

2.Scott StallingsCan he win the Masters? Hell no.  Can he win Frys.com open?  Hell yes.

3.Charles Howell III –  Would not know him if he sat next to you at Applebees. But he is 25th in the ALL TIME PGA MONEY LIST.  He takes his T6 and $150,000 and goes home.  Keep grinding CHIII.

4.Aaron Baddeley –  Similar to CHIII, but Baddeley can actually putt. Always a threat on 2nd tier events.  Should be a threat everywhere though. Is he still doing that stack and tilt stuff?

These tournaments normally do not get a huge following, but true golf fans pick up some early info on who the breakout players for the year will be.  Just look and see what Patrick Reed and Jimmy Walker did at the beginning of last season and that should answer any question you have about the importance of getting off to a hot start.

Good luck guys! Well, those 4 guys I listed at least.

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
