The Chase nears as the Nascar drivers are in Bristol TN this week for the every exciting race at this half mile whirlpool with an amazing 30 degrees of banking.  Standing is hard to do in the corners, I could not imagine driving here in a race car!

It is time again for Johnny G’s Nascar @ Bristol Fantasy Picks  of the Week!

This DraftKings Nascar lineup below even has room to spare, so if you want a bit more expensive driver feel free to do so, it is under the salary cap!

Dale Earnhardt Jr. $8300  – I like Dale Jr this week because he starts outside of the top 20.  That is quite a bit of room for improvement. Hopefully he can stay in a safe spot and work his way to the front quickly.

Ryan Newman $7600 – Rock steady. He is a bargain this week at that price since he historically races well here. Quite a few top 10’s.

Denny Hamlin $9200 – I kind of hedged by picks with Hamlin starting in the front. If there is a wreck early, hopefully he will be clear of all the trouble.

Matt Kenseth $10400 – Yes, he is expensive this week but that is because he is good.  And the fact I really love is he qualified outside the top 10. That really helps with the scoring in DK (Start/Finish Differential).

Paul Menard $7500 – I always get a little nervous picking Menard. He really is not that great, but he is not bad either. Also seems to be finding a 16th place finish and you ask where was he all race.  He is cheap this week and safe.  If he can stay out of wrecks he can work his way up from he bad qualifying effort.

Ricky Stenhouse $6500 – Normally he is not a great play. His salary is low so you hope he can post better than he qualifies and even finish the race. However, this week could be a top 10 for him. He likes Bristol and has some good finishes here, so let us keep our fingers crossed.

DraftKings Sleeper of the Week

Davin Ragan $7200 – Now that he qualified well I really like him.  I just hope the team and keep up with the track as it changes and not have him slip to 23rd or something like that. That would kill the great qualifying effort in its tracks.
