The first week of the NFL season is almost here.  In a series of weekly posts, our goal is to provide the best fantasy football lineups and advice for people playing in all types of leagues.

This post will focus on running back (RB) sleeper picks for the week.  All these players will have DraftKings salaries under $6,000.

DraftKings Sleeper Running Back Fantasy Picks for Week 1

 

A few tips for what I look for in a sleeper or long shot pick of the week:

  1. A good match-up versus the other defense.  If a guy is valued low, there might be a reason. Shut down corner backs and great defensive lines make me scared.  Look for a value play based on a bad defense or an injury.  Sometimes the daily fantasy leagues post the values early before important information is available.

2.Do not stretch too far.  I guy may sneak in for a touchdown the week before, but that does not make him a great play at      3,900.  Look for patterns and ask yourself “why?”.
