We have a six game NHL slate on Friday, November 10th. The most compelling might be the Pens on the road in Washington. These two hate each other and these games are always nasty. It may be early in the season, but division games are always important.
Johnny G invites the NHL experts from Hammer DFS to share some of their research and insights to help you build your rosters and cross the money line in your DFS contests.
A note about today’s slate, the first game today is not a home game for the Colorado. The Avalanche and Senators are playing in Sweden as part of the SAP NHL Global Series. This game isn’t part of the main slate, but DraftKings and FanDuel are offering an all day 2:00 pm ET slate with this game. You may consider players from this game because there are several players from each team that are getting the chance to play in front of their own family and friends. They are Gabriel Landeskog, Anton Lindholm, and Carl Soderberg for the Avs, and Erik Karlsson, Frederik Claesson, and Viktor Stabler for the Senators. It could be a nice play for you early slate lovers to get some of those guys in your lines as those guys don’t get the chance to play in their home country very often outside of the Olympics. This is special for them and I expect them to be fired up and to bring their A games.
It looks like Frederik Andersen is your cash goalie for tonight. Boston is coming to town with several key starters on IR. They are severely depleted on offense with Spooner, Krejci, Backes, and Marchand all out. Take advantage of this while you can.
I think Buffalo and Florida are strong cash plays tonight. The teams that give up the most goals are Florida (4.23), Arizona (4.06), and Buffalo (3.71). Definitely look at Evander Kane and Vincent Trochek. Pominville, Eichel, O’Reilly, Huberdeau and Barkov are worth a look as well. It might be tempting to look at Ovechkin against the Pens, but he historically does not play well against them. Malkin usually keeps him locked down.
I think Alex Tuch is a good value pick tonight. ($3800 on DraftKings, $3600 on FanDuel). He’s on line 3 with Cody Eakin, and he’s on PP2 with Reilly Smith and William Karlsson who dish out a fair amount of assists for the Golden Knights who could really use a win coming back home after a road trip.
