Johnny G’s MLB DraftKings & FanDuel Home Run Predictions 5-27-17

Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups.  From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball.  The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.

If you need more than a four-bagger to get your bankroll growing, Hammer DFS has a full-service chat to get you back on track.  Check out a sample of what their members pulled in recently:

Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 5/27/17:

Garret: Anthony Rendon is batting .350 over the last week with 4 HRs, a SLG % of 1.000, and an OPS of 1.458.  He faces lefty Clayton Richard who should be serving up batting practice for the Nats powerhouse lineup.

Alex: Miguel Cabrera is 4-10 with 2 HRs vs Holland.  His hard hit % is 56.9%, up 11.7% in May.  He’s also 11-24 over the last 7 games.  That paired with Holland’s 43% flyball rate and 32% hard hit rate in May is a great recipe for Cabrera to go yard.

Chris: The early Cy Young campaign for Jason Vargas is finally over now.  9 ER in his last two starts may indicate a return to stacking against him.  All is right with the world.  His recent advanced stats are bad.  Batted ball distance (258 feet), exit velocity (92 mph), flyball rate (67%), and hard contact rate (45%) are all way up.  That said, I’m taking Edwin Encarnacion today.  His season long numbers are terrible, but there are recent signs of life.  EE has hit safely in 5 straight games including 4 XBH (2 doubles, 2 dongs).
