Happy Hump Day to you all! We have 15 games today, but enough day baseball to break out into multiple slates for Wednesday, May 31st.
Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups. From your high-priced stars hitting value with one swing to your low-owned, minimum-priced punt helping you take down a big dollar contest, we all dig the long ball. The experts will be digging through the match-ups and stats to find players in good spots and sharing them with you.
If you need more than a four-bagger to get your bankroll growing, Hammer DFS has a full-service chat to get you back on track. Check out a sample of what their members pulled in recently:
Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 5/31/17:
Garret: This might be more of a gut feeling with Cain pitching well at home, but I’m taking Daniel Murphy today. Over his last 10 games, he’s been crushing the ball. Statcast data over that time has his hard contact rate at 43%, exit velocity at 93 mph, with a 50% FB rate. All of those numbers well above season long averages.
Alex: Carlos Correa is 4-12 vs Santiago with 3 HRs! Correa is swinging a hot bat in May with 6 HRs and a .469 wOBA . Santiago pitching at home has a 2.9 HR/9 in this month along with a 40% hard hit and 55% fly ball rate.
Chris: Did you know Corey Dickerson is ranked 4th in WAR in the entire league?! Corey is a machine this season and has made many of my rosters so far. He’s hitting for average and power, and now he gets a spot starter in Texas. My auto-correct cannot wrap its head around this guy’s name, but Austin Bibens-Dirkx takes the bump for AJ Griffin. ABD is a 32 year-old rookie who has made 4 appearances out of the bullpen, 2 in long relief. Most recently they stretched him out to 84 pitches, but I still think Dickerson and the Rays see the Texas bullpen pretty early in the game. He’s gone 7 games without a dong, but comes in with 3 straight multi-hit games.
