Monday, July 17, 2017 brings us 13 games on the schedule. Nationals at Reds is the only matinée of the day. It will be a 12 game main slate highlighted by McCullers getting a home start and Lester vs. Teheran in Atlanta.
Johnny G invites the MLB experts from Hammer DFS to take an early look at who they predict will go deep to help you fill out your rosters on DraftKings and FanDuel.
Up and down your squad, everyone needs home runs in their DFS lineups. Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 7/17/17:
Garret: Julio Teheran is terrible at home and I’m picking on him again. He has a 7.58 ERA and has given up 13 homers at SunTrust Park. Jason Heyward is tearing the cover off of the ball lately. He’s batting .500 with a 1.250 SLG % and a 1.806 OPS so far in the second half of the season. He heads back to his hometown of Atlanta which is also where he began his career. The Cubs are hot right now and I’m riding the J-Hey train.
Alex: George Springer is 4-11 with 4 HRs against Miranda. Springer has 3 HRs in July so far with a .333 ISO and a .525 wOBA. Miranda has a 2.7HR/9 and a 54.3% fly ball over the last 5 starts.
Chris: It’s not much of a stretch to say Jordan Zimmermann has been underwhelming this season. He gives up runs and home runs when he’s out there. Mike Moustakas hit home runs in 4 straight games to start July. He’s cooled off since then, but leads the team by far in HR/AB.
