Johnny G’s Week 11 QB Picks – DraftKings NFL & FanDuel NFL

Week 11 of the NFL season brings us several quality matchups as the Rams and Chiefs square off in must-see TV, the Steelers are in Jacksonville, the Vikings visit the Bears, and the defending champs head to New Orleans.

Johnny G invites the NFL experts from Hammer DFS to share some of their research and insights to help you build your rosters and cross the money line in your DFS contests.

Cash Plays

You can argue that there’s no bigger home field advantage than the Saints playing in the Superdome.  Drew Brees is always worth a look in his friendly confines.  21 TDs to only one interception this season while completing over 77% of his passes.  This game has a healthy 56 point implied total with the Saints an 8-point favorite over the Eagles.  Brees is the 3rd most expensive QB on FanDuel ($8500) and 2nd highest-priced QB on DraftKings ($6500).  The Eagles have the ability to be competitive in this one, which provides a solid floor for Brees in your cash contests.

If you’re playing any slates that include Monday night, the Chiefs/Rams game has been moved from Mexico City to Los Angeles due to field conditions, becoming a home game for Jared Goff.  The only negative thing you can think of to say about Goff this season is Todd Gurley’s massive usage rate in the RZ (RZ = Red Zone, you guys still with me on that?) takes points away from him.  He hasn’t scored less than 22 DraftKings points in any home game and he’s scored as high as 42.3 points when the Vikings came to town.  I point that game out because it’s not difficult to see a similar game script play out with the Chiefs this week.  We have to assume the Chiefs will put up points and lends itself well to Goff having a big day against a defense that has been playing better, but can and has been torched.  KC can get pressure on the QB, but the Rams offensive line has been one of the best in pass protection.  Over his last three games, Goff is averaging 335 yards and has 8 TDs.  14 of his 22 passing TDs this season have come at home.

GPP Plays

Carson Wentz‘s play has been consistent, but I’m putting him in the GPP section because you can save a hundred or two on DraftKings by dropping down to Cam Newton or Matt Ryan as cash plays.  Here are the only teams and QBs that New Orleans hasn’t allowed 20 or more DK points to: The Browns and Tyrod in week 2, Giants/Eli, and Redskins/Alex Smith.  In other words, a should-be backup, a turnover machine that should have retired 2 years ago, and a game manager playing at one of the slowest paces in the league.  Since week 4, Wentz has thrown for at least 2 TDs in every game.  The Saints will score and Wentz will need passing volume to keep up.

Good luck in your NFL DFS contests this week!
