Three Young Bucks – NBA Fantasy Value Plays You Need to Watch

Why Giannis Antetokoumpo, Khris Middleton and Jabari Parker Should Be On Your Fantasy Radar.

In a fantasy realm top-heavy with aging ten thousand dollar superstars like LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Dirk Nowitzki seemingly all losing some pep in their step; Is their anything inherently wrong with us who are focusing on the new breed emerging?

[bctt tweet=”The NBA is chalk full of 1st and 2nd year players that in due time will be considered the next superstars.”] My whole spiel is that you can actually find similar value in some of these young studs that can match some of these 10k-plus priced players.  I’m here to make the assertion that three particular young studs should be on your fantasy radar for the duration of the season. And it just so happens that these three particular up-and-coming stars reside on the same team and have coalesced quite nicely as of late.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Jabari Parker are the future of the league. Each player is logging around 38 minutes a game with nice peripheral statistics to complement scoring and all have caught fire of late exceeding baseline projections for a combined 75% over the last ten games. Giannis has exceeded expectations 80% of the time while Middleton has done it 90% percent while Parker at the low-end is still exceeding expectations over 60% of the time.

Giannis Antetokoumpo- Prices: Fanduel $8300/DraftKings $7700

  3. Has a high player efficiency rating hovering around 17 percent.
  4. Averaging at least 6 rebounds a game and 3 assists.
  5. Has 2 60+ point performances in the last 5 games and is averaging 47.6 fdp during that span.

Khris Middleton- Prices: Fanduel $7900/DraftKings $7300

  1. Is averaging at least 30 minutes per game through the season.
  2. Has a high usage rate of around 25-30 percent.
  3. Is averaging over 3 assists per game throughout the season.
  4. Is averaging at least 25 points per game.
  5. Has been steadily meeting his value threshold over the past 5 games averaging 39 fdp.

Jabari Parker- Prices: Fanduel $5900/DraftKings $6500

  1. Is averaging at least 25 points per game during the last month.
  2. Still has an extremely soft price tag that hasn’t quite caught up to reflect recent production.
  3. Averaging at least 5 rebounds a game over the last 5 games.
  4. Is averaging around 38 minutes per game over the last 5.
  5. Has been exceeding value at a steady clip of around 31.5 fdp per game during the last 5.

These are three young “bucks” that should definitely be on your fantasy radar for the foreseeable future. Even though Middleton and Giannis are currently close to being priced out on Fanduel, look to them for elite fantasy production at a sub 10k price to free up some cap space to smooth out your rosters.
