Johnny G’s 2015 Week 1 DraftKings Fantasy College Football Lineup

Cooler air means college football time is here again!

Scroll down for quick Friday 9-4-15 game advice!

While week 1 normally has many CFB mismatches, that does not mean anything for fantasy college football.

Note, that this is for the Saturday 9/5/15 games.  For the 9/3/15 games, check out my other post!

I think the key to finding the best fantasy players in week one is trying to find the best match-ups combined with finding a few gems that you think will be great low value plays.  The first few weeks of the season are always tougher, but that also means if you do your research you can hopefully do well in your leagues or contests.

2015 Week 1 – 9-5-15 – Fantasy College Football Picks For DraftKings

PositionNameTeamSalaryStats / Notes
QBLuke FalkWashington St.9600A great matchup play here, WSU should score 50 points against Portland State.
QBMaty MaukMissouri6500Another solid matchup play, and a great value, I would hope for 2 TD at least in this one.
RBJovon RobinsonAuburn4100 A sleeper here, not really sure who will get the majority of the carries, but we like Robinson to get some meaningful carries at least.
RBJaylen WaltonMississippi6300A stud running back against a weak team should be a great week 1 warmup session before SEC defenses put the clamps down.
WRJosh MaloneTennessee3000With there main WR suspended for a week, look for Malone to get some playing time. At 3000 you cannot ask a lot.
WRRashon CeaserULM4100The best player on a team that will be down big, hopefully a few big pass plays help his numbers. Very good player here.
WRRiver CracraftWashington St.7800He could have 15 catches in this one.
Flex Dom WilliamsWashington St.4800A great value, who could actually score more points than his teammate River. No brainer at this value.
Flex Francis OwusuStanford3700The game should be competitive so I expect him to snag a few catches throughout the night.

Hopefully these picks get us all off to a good start in our CFB contests.  Another thing to check for in the days before the games is the weather. Pass happy teams do not do well in rain and cross winds.

I will try to post any updates, such as bad weather, injuries, suspensions, etc. before kickoff next week.

9-4-15 DraftKings College Football

Sorry for the late post and lack of spreadsheet, but you need to load up on Baylor vs Smu tonight! Seth Russell  at QB, Linwood at RB and a receiver or two from the Bears as well. Even if you have to lose value somewhere else  Also I like the Boise St. vs  Washington game too.

DraftKings College Football Week 1 Saturday 7PM Late Games Lineup

PositionNameTeamSalaryStats / Notes
QBCody KesslerUSC9300One of the best QB in the game. A great matchup here too. I expect a big name.
QBSkylder HowardWVU6800One of the better value plays, people forget how much Dana likes to score down in Morgantown.
RBElijah McGuireULL8100Great running back. Not so great team. I like the matchup this week though.
RBHosey WilliamsCinn4600Needed a good value play here, so I hope he won't hose me…
WRD. RobinsonFlorida6300Great matchup here. I also like the Florida QB as an alternative play to Howard.
WRTeldrick MorganNM ST4100Terrible team and they could be down 50 points, but who cares if they are throwing it to Morgan!
WRS Mitchell JrUSC3400I like the value here. He might get some points that he would not get against a better team. And I needed to save money.
Flex Larry Rose IIINM ST3000Can he run the ball against an SEC defense? I don't know either.
Flex Chris MooreCinn4200A solid matchup play here, Moore has the experience to get him some grabs and maybe into the end zone.

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
