Johnny G’s 9/3/2015 (TH – WK 1) DraftKings College Football Fantasy Picks

It is time again!  The 2015 College Football season is almost underway.   Nothing like some good Thursday night CFB games to get the fantasy season started.

When trying to get my DraftKings Fantasy College Football lineup together I think of a few things.  I won’t tell you all of them this week, but remember that great match-ups can make average players very good. With that being said, let us get down to Thursday’s lineup.

September 3, 2015 – CFB Week 1 DraftKings Lineup

PositionNameTeamSalaryStats / Notes
QBBrandon DoughtyWestern Kentucky9000Averaged over 30 FPPG last year. Throws the ball all over the field.
QBMason RudolphOk. State8100Tons of potential from this young guy. Good backup in Stillwater, so he will have to perform. I love the CMU matchup.
RBAJ OueletteOhio U6400Solid running back who averaged 18 FPPG last year and is going against a team who should give up some yards on the ground.
RBRalph WebbVanderbilt6500Talented running back. I hate him running in the SEC, but WKU is not Alabama. Book him this week!
WRNicholas NorrisWestern Kentucky3300Hard to say which WR's will get the TD's, but there will be plenty. I like Norris as a value play. At least 60 yds.
WRDavid RichardsArizona3600A risk here, but I needed salary cap room. He did catch 7 passes last year vs USC.
WRTaywan TaylorWestern Kentucky4800I feel he is the best WR on this team and should be seeing action all night vs Vandy.
Flex Kenny BiasUTSA3100A sleeper here, but they should be behind the whole game so maybe he will snag a TD for us.
Flex David GliddenOk. State4700Glidden had almost 600 yards last year and at this value he could be good against CMU.
49500

If you are looking for a sleeper pick of the week, try KJ Maye the WR for Minnesota.  Could catch a few passes being they will be behind by multiple touchdowns against #2 ranked TCU.  Also, check back for updates to this post before game-time. Lots can change so be careful when setting your fantasy players too early in the week then not checking back in.

Hopefully these picks will help you this week. It is a long season, so be sure to check back for all the picks.  Also, another post will pick for Saturday 9/5/15.  Good luck this week!

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
