Friday brings us an eight game NBA main slate. Blowout risk is all over this slate today, so tread carefully with your roster construction.
Let’s take an entirely too-early look at the building blocks for the November 16th main slate. More times than not, starting lineup announcements, breaking news, injuries, rest, etc. will affect the value of these plays and impact your roster construction. But, the sooner we can get a feel for the slate and the optimal build, the better.

Cash Plays
The Lakers play at one of the fastest paces in the league and rank towards the bottom defensively. If Damian Lillard did 58 fantasy points to LAL after being listed questionable all day, I’m interested to see what he does against the defensively challenged Timberwolves. Dame touches $10k price-wise, so his $9400 FanDuel salary is discounted. The Blazers opened as a 1.5 point road favorite in the 3rd highest game total on the bet slip.
Bigs against the Kings is still a thing as they are giving up +3.2 to the center position. That making me take a long look at Marc Gasol today. He’s only $7400 on DK and hasn’t logged less than 35 minutes over the last four games. Gasol is averaging 1.14 fantasy points per minute as his usage rate has stayed close to the mid-20% mark since dipping in the first part of this month.
GPP Plays
The Miami Heat give it up to opposing guards. In fact, they just gave up nearly 8x to Darren Collison a week ago. Collison is averaging 35 minutes over the last two games. He’s a better value on DraftKings at $4500 compared to his $5000 FanDuel salary. He relies on scoring for most of his fantasy production, but without many massive totals tonight, the 213 implied total isn’t getting blown out of the water.
Look at all the lineups you will get, at a minimum, over the course of a month. One Cash and one GPP for each main slate. That translates to approximately:
- NBA – 120 lineups per month
- MLB – 120 lineups per month
- NHL – 120 lineups per month
- Golf – 16 lineups per month
- NFL – 16 lineups per month
- NASCAR – 8 lineups per month
- UFC – 2 per event
