Here are Johnny G’s Home Run predictions for 9/6/17:
Garret: Joey Votto is 12 for 35 off of Matt Garza with 2 dingers. The guy is a hitting machine, it’s fitting he plays for the Reds 🤔. I’m not sure how Matt Garza still pitches in the big leagues, although I’ll give him credit for almost having some sort of bounce back year. His last five starts have been brutal, compiling a 9.28 ERA and 15:16 K:BB in 21.1 innings. Future NL MVP takes him downtown tomorrow.
Chris: Kendrys Morales is staying hot. He now has 5 home runs in his last 6 games. Today he gets Doug Fister. Morales has some success against the big righty. He’s 9 for 27 lifetime with 3 HRs. Over the last 2 weeks he is averaging a batted ball distance of 231 feet, exit velocity of 92 mph, and his hard hit % is up to a whopping 52%. The Boston bullpen will be gassed after the marathon last night, so there are opportunities late in the game as well.
