4 Ways To Get A Tee Time At Bethpage Black

Before I get to some tips on getting on Bethpage Black for an affordable price, here is some history of this great course:

Bethpage Black History

US Open 2002 – A history making US Open, this was the first one held at a public venue.  And Tiger Woods won it being the only golfer under par. With rave reviews, many amateurs from across the country drove out to New York in attempts to play the course.

US Open 2009 – What would have been an excellent Phil Mickelson victory, instead a somewhat unknown Lucas Glover pulled off the victory.  How many more chances will Lefty get?

2019 PGA Championship – I am very curious what the setup will be here. Will it play with high rough where par is premium or will they go with a more birdie friendly typical PGA setup?  Only time will tell.

4 Ways To Play Bethpage Black Golf Course

1. You better be in good shape.  This course if for walkers only. So if you cannot walk 18 holes of one of the best courses in the world, do not read the next tips!

2. Do not play on a Monday!   It is closed…   But really playing mid-week will give you a much better chance of getting your preferred time to play the course.  A twilight fee for non New York residents is only $78 during the week!  The last tee time in summer is around 5:00pm, so plan accordingly.  A full round in peak times during the week is still only $130. What a deal.  Weekends are a bit more, but still much cheaper than many other resort courses. New York residents can play cheaper.

3. Play in Mid May – Mid November because the course is closed for the winter season the other months of the year. They want to keep it in great shape, so you have to remember they are closed some. You So-Cal golfers do not know what that is like.

4. Just call the pro shop at (516) 249-4040.  Around the US Open times they used to get backed up where cars were showing up at early hours just to get on, but know you should be able to make a tee time with just a call.

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
