Johnny G’s 2015 Honda Classic Fantasy Golf Picks

Last Week’s Recap: A solid week with all 4 golfers making the cut. Sergio had a good chance and should have won the week for the fantasy league, but back to back bogeys killed any chance he had.  Still in a respectable 4th place overall in the league, so all is not last.

2015 Honda Classic Fantasy Picks

1. Rory McIlroy – Not going out on a limb here. Rory will look to continue his solid play with his 1st US appearance this year. With his court case behind him, look for his long drives and crisp iron shots at PGA National this week.

2. Sergio Garcia –  He played bad and still almost won.  Sergio tends to be a streaky player, so I expect him to ride his T4 at Riviera into this week’s Honda Classic.

3. Rickie Fowler – The best golfer alive with only 1 tour victory, Rickie tends to play well in big events.  This week’s field is the strongest of the year so far so I expect a Top 10 at the very least. Butch Harmon has taken him to the next level.

4. Justin Rose –  Quiet. Modest. No one talks about him. Yet he is one of the best players in the world.  Expect another solid week from Justin.

All these guys are thinking about the Master’s now. Each will be hitting shots that could help them prepare for the drive down Magnolia Lane come early April.

Sleeper pick: Charl Schwartzel. He has the tools, he just does not seem to put them all together each week.

Now is the part of the golf season where the average fan starts to watch.  It would help if Tiger could get back to any kind of respectable form before April, as his presence alone will draw more fans.

Johnny Giovonni

Hi, my name is Johnny Giovonni. I am in the financial services industry and own my own business on the side. I work too much and golf too little. That is why I helped create this site, so I could at least have the dream of golfing everyday. Also, I am a huge numbers person and have researched many advanced gaming theories and other nerd stuff like the Rule of 72 and Benford's Law. When I am not working I am either golfing, watching sports, or researching statistics for my weekly and daily fantasy picks. I am under full belief there is an enormous advantage to be had with information when picking your lineups every week. I hope to bring that knowledge to this website. I look forward to writing and responding to your comments. Check out some of our course reviews, fantasy sports picks and as always, provide any feedback!
